Marie, a former teacher, faced a deep sense of despair after her mother’s death and the economic crisis, but her involvement in the St. John Center’s activities and support groups helped her rediscover joy. Now, she actively contributes to the community by working in a sewing workshop and finds fulfillment in helping others.
Resilience Amid Crisis: Zeina’s Journey to Food Security and Employment
Zeina, faced with unemployment and food insecurity during the 2019 economic downturn, found crucial support through Berrad El Hay’s Hot Meals program and Terwi2et Zaher’s breakfast ingredients. By 2022, with assistance from social workers, she secured a job and expresses gratitude for the programs that helped restore her family’s stability.
