In a time when so many families in Lebanon are struggling to put food on the table, Berrad El Hay is bringing neighbors together through the simple, powerful act of sharing a meal.

Our Community Fridge Program was created in response to rising food insecurity caused by Lebanon’s economic crisis, political instability, and the war of 2024. Today, over 2 million people, including children and the elderly, struggle to meet their basic food needs.

At the center of our response are three community fridges. Each one is rooted in its neighborhood and cared for like a member of the family. More than just a place to find food, each fridge is a symbol of solidarity and compassion.

Daily, volunteers and home cooks prepare delicious and nutritious meals, everything from warm stews and rice dishes to baked goods and homemade desserts. Every plate placed in a fridge sends the same message: Around Every Fridge, a Family.
